Not rusting hinges are suit perfectly to be applied at places where corrosion is a sensitive issue. If acid proofed or seawater resistant, we supply a qualified material to you.

Depending on the end use we recommend the following stainless steel grades:

Grade:

AISI 430
Ferritic chromium steel with a good corrosion resistance and perfectly to polish.

Well constant against water, vapour and humidity as well as light acid and leach.

Manifold applications such as for canteen kitchens and catering / gastronomy industry as well as food processing industry.

AISI 304
This is an austenitic ferritic steel with chrome and nickel which is acid resisting and can be polishable and weldable.

Heat resistant up to 600°C

Continuous hinges made of the stainless steel grade are resistant against water, vapor, humidity, food acids and soft organic and inorganic acids.

Primarily they find their end use in the aliment industry, chemical apparatus engineering, architecture, vehicle and shipbuilding industry. The resistance to corrosion will be raised by polishing. This is essential for the pharmaceutical and food industry as well as fort he medical technology. This grade is not recommendable for swimming pools (as per the chlorine) and salty waters. For this destination we recommend the stainless steel grade AISI 316.

AISI 316

A class of its own is this chromium-nickel- alloy containing molybdenum. Maximum resistant against corrosion and great durability! Continuous piano hinges made from AISI 316 can be polished perfectly so that they can be assembled on i.e. boats.

Acid proofed, weldable and absolutely rust free therefore seawater and saltwater resistant.
